Chief Instructor

Grandmaster Sken Kaewpadung

Grandmaster Sken) is the Chief Instructor of Master Sken Academy. He was one of the first Thai Masters to bring the art of Muay Thai over to the west over 32 years ago. Today, he remains as passionate an ‘evangelist’ for this noble art as he has ever been. Grandmaster Sken's arrival in England in 1977 represented the introduction of Muay Thai into the western community. His knowledge of Muay Thai and Muay Boran is comprehensive and yet he endeavors to keep on learning and adapting his fighting system. He is renowned for his exceptional (and effortless) technical ability and skill. Grandmaster Sken has travelled the globe promoting Muay Thai; giving demonstrations and seminars on his unique fighting system; and teaching his devastating methods for ring and street combat. Even among his peers, he is one of the most respected and valued teachers in the world. His teaching and training methods have produced numerous exceptional coaches and (World, European and British) champions in Muay Thai and western boxing.

Senior Instructors

Kru Kay Hampson (Kaewpadung)

Kru Kay has been training with Grandmaster Sken for over 23 years. She is now a Red Yellow Green Band 4th khan instructor and has been teaching Muay Thai for over 18 years. Kay has travelled worldwide with Grandmaster Sken and was a member of his acclaimed demonstration team. Kay has exceptional skills and knowledge in Muay Thai which she passionately passes on to members of MSA’s popular ladies’ classes which are built around keep fit, women’s well being and a commonsense approach to practical self defence. Kay had earlier been a successful children’s trainer and had her own stable of young fighters. She instructed and was a key influence on Paul Karpowicz (who is a current UKMF champion). She played a pivotal role in his early development as a young fighter and helped lay the strong foundations in Muay Thai that led him to becoming North West Junior champion before he took the UKMF crown.

Kru Glen Tobois

Kru Glen Tobois has been training for over 30 years. He is a fully qualified Red Band Instructor. Glen has a deep understanding of how to teach both adult and junior students running his own gym with in the Cheshire area for many years. Kru Glen Tobois has been training for over 30 years. He is a fully qualified Red Band Instructor. Glen has a deep understanding of how to teach both adult and junior students running his own gym with in the Cheshire area for many years. Having achieved a prestigious fight career he is now teaching back under Grand Master Sken using his experience to create high quality students with in the Master Sken Headquarters.
